Reputation and quality have always been important at Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing (VUSN). So when it became apparent that there were integrity issues with remote testing in its online nursing program, VUSN set out to find a test proctoring solution that would protect exam integrity, increase security and meet authentication criteria required by the Department of Education. In order to get it right, the VUSN’s administration and instructional technology teams worked together to ensure they identified a solution that would benefit faculty, students, and the program overall.

EdX MicroMasters

Assuring the academic integrity of the assessments given in edX MOOC courses is imperative to safeguarding the value of the micro-credential. EdX partnered with PSI to ensure the integrity of online assessments. EdX needed a solution with an asynchronous approach that could scale very quickly to thousands of learners. The proctoring solution was an important next step in providing a secure and verified learning environment for those students interested in credit bearing courses. Institutions participating in edX MicroMasters’ program will be required to make a percentage of exams in their programs online proctored exams.

Ivy Tech Community College sought to help its students identify and develop skills. The school turned to PSI’s ‘Am I Job Ready’ to build the foundation of its Workforce Excellence Program.
