Glendale, CA – PSI Services (PSI), a global workforce solutions provider of best-in-class assessment content and comprehensive certification program services, has over recent weeks been awarded a new contract by key healthcare credentialing organization and leader in perioperative nursing certification, the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI), to be their testing partner for CCI certification programs. As an established partner to many healthcare certification organizations, this new partnership acknowledges PSI’s leadership in innovation in testing and its focus on the candidate experience.
CCI has signed an agreement to work with PSI for test center and online proctored test delivery.
“CCI chose PSI as our preferred supplier as we loved their approach, demonstrating clearly their highly responsive customer service with candidates and their commitment to the partnership we are venturing into together. PSI’s ability to create excellent experiences for candidates based on ease, flexibility, and responsiveness was an important factor for us, and this was demonstrated in their test center experience,” said CCI’s CEO, James Stobinski. “We also loved the talent assessment angle that PSI brought to the table – making a personality assessment available to our candidates gives them a unique aspect that most certifying organizations do not offer.” Stobinski added, “We have been pleased to see how PSI has responded to the COVID-19 outbreak with increased healthcare measures to ensure candidate safety.”
Traditionally, professional certification programs have emphasized the assessment and development of knowledge and cognitive skills. However, increasing attention is now being given to the importance of the non-cognitive – or “soft” – skills needed to succeed and competently perform in many careers. This presents a real opportunity for healthcare organizations to expand the scope of their services with soft skills assessments and opportunities for candidates to develop these in-demand skills.
Rory McCorkle, Senior Vice President of PSI’s Certification and Admissions Services commented, “We are incredibly pleased for this opportunity to work with CCI to support the certification of valued perioperative nurses and to improve the candidate experience through PSI’s innovative products and services. We appreciated the opportunity to get to know CCI’s staff and stakeholders and look forward to serving CCI’s mission through our partnership. We are inspired to reach the high standards set by the healthcare market, so to have been selected by another of the esteemed bodies in specialty nursing certification is a huge achievement for PSI.”
