Glendale, CA – The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC), the premier provider of nationally accredited certification programs for Registered Nurses in oncology and related specialties, has selected PSI Services LLC (PSI) as its full-service testing provider beginning in January 2021. ONCC certification ensures that nurses meet minimal competency standards for cancer care. PSI is a global workforce solutions provider of best-in-class assessment content and comprehensive certification program services.
The ONCC chose PSI as a full-service provider to join ONCC in their next phase of program development – having one provider to handle all services for test development, psychometric consulting, and delivery of their five ONCC certification examinations and Individual Learning Needs Assessments (ILNA). Since 2015, the ONCC has partnered with PSI for test development and psychometric services and to build and securely deliver the ILNA, a learning plan for certification renewal. Now PSI will deliver all ONCC programs via its high-stakes test platform, PSI Dimensions™, and enable future delivery via live online proctoring using PSI Bridge™. In addition, ONCC is utilizing PSI’s career development assessments and consulting services to provide its volunteer leadership with opportunities to enhance their teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
“We are excited to build on our established partnership with PSI to position ONCC for growth, today and in the future,” commented Tony Ellis, ONCC Executive Director. About choosing PSI, he noted that, “Innovative thinking and solutions were important factors for us in our selection process, and PSI’s approach to test delivery, Linear On The Fly Testing (LOFT), automated item generation, and advanced data forensics were evidence that they are at the forefront of testing innovation. We know PSI will be an important partner in growing our certification program.”
Rory McCorkle, Senior Vice President of PSI’s Certification and Admissions Services commented, “It has been an honor to serve ONCC and their stakeholders since 2015 with our PSI Dimensions platform and test development and psychometric services. We are excited about the growth of this relationship through the addition of test center delivery. ONCC represents a true partner for PSI, as we build on the foundations of our relationships with the ONCC staff and volunteers, allowing us to have a clear vision of what we would like to achieve together going forward. Our goal is to build upon the success of our ongoing partnership and allow ONCC to focus on new developments, the expansion of their programs, and innovation. This new era we move into together is a clear recognition of the value of PSI’s efforts to evolve our products and services to refine the candidate experience.”
